Dissertation Abroad Opportunities: during the Summer Vacation, students have the opportunity to go abroad to undertake their Dissertation project. The Business School has host institutions within a number of countries including France, Demark, Germany, Italy and Russia.
Fees & Funding: No fees are payable at the host institutions for the 3 month Dissertation Period (a minimum of 90 days).
For European destinations all students are eligible to participate and receive an ERASMUS grant in 2018. Successful candidates may have to cover their own travel, accommodation, visa and subsistence expenses before the grant is received. Students however are still liable for their college accommodation fees whilst doing their dissertation abroad programme.
Applications open mid-October; closing date is the end of October 2018, students complete a 500 word application expressing their interest in the programme; once places have been allocated, students must complete a research proposal submitted during February 2019. Further details will be communicated in due time.
All Masters students are invited to a Masters International Options Event on 24th October 2018, 1:30pm, in MHL 454. This is an information session about how you can gain international study and work experience in the UK and abroad during your Masters programme. Presentations will be followed by a social activity where you can meet people to inform you about options such as Dissertation Abroad and Summer School, Business Projects and other ways to gain international experience.
